The Rive Gauche company is known to all buyers of beauty products. The chain of cosmetics and perfume stores has been operating since 1995 and is one of the largest operators in the perfume and cosmetics market in Russia. In 2021, the cloud provider MWS helped the retailer optimize corporate communications methods. How this was done and what the results were - we will tell you further in the case, which will be useful to any organization whose work is based on communication with clients.

What problems did Rive Gauche solve?
The retailer unites more than 200 stores under its sign. Rive Gauche centrally manages points of sale from the head office, where the staff uses several methods of coordinating work: email, instant messengers, telephony.

The work formats of office employees continue to evolve, in which they are helped by digital wordpress web design agency technologies that create new communication opportunities. Rive Gauche needed to find more flexible tools for communication and expand the capabilities of the local PBX.

On the one hand, employees were already using the Microsoft Teams service, which includes many useful functions: voice calls, chats, audio conferences, etc. However, by default, Teams does not have integration with the public telephone network and cannot meet all communication needs.  

There are several ways to solve this problem. It is possible to implement the Teams junction with your own PBX in hardware form, but we offered the company another option. Compared to the traditional approach, the cloud increases the flexibility of the infrastructure and helps save on equipment and operation.

Microsoft Teams is a cloud-based team collaboration service that includes group chats with access to corporate documents, audio and video conferencing. The number of daily active users of Microsoft Teams has reached 250 million people.

MWS offers several scenarios for implementing Microsoft Teams.


Large international companies often choose the full migration option, in which the client abandons their communications equipment and transfers all calls to Teams.
The customer retains its own PBX with desktop devices, but employees receive more opportunities due to additional functions of the Microsoft Teams service. This option does not require major changes in working with the equipment. This integration scenario was chosen by Rive Gauche.
